For those of you asking how we got our kennel name...
Here it is!
In July of 2006, Paul surprised his beloved wife , Carolyn on their 25th Anniversary with a renewal of their vows and the purchase of their second home in Lewistown, Montana. This rolling 27 acre property overlooks the Snowy Mountains and Half moon Pass, where Paul chiseled a permanent proposal to his betrothed in the Snowy Mountain Canyon
of Half Moon Pass.
Unfortunately the day before the ceremony, the pilot notifed them that he would have to cancel their flight up Half Moon Pass due to fighting fire!
Luckily, her prince had a back-up plan! The Fairytale ended in a Western Ceremony on the property they now call Alaska Bench Division I followed by a Cowboy Shootout Reception aboard the Charlie Russell Choo Choo!
The Event was the talk of the town!
The birth of Alaska Bench Retrievers was derived from this location, Alaska Bench Road.
